Flavor of the week

This week we're going with Strawberry Shortcake Froyo.

Strawberry shortcake frozen yogurt made with Oikos Triple Zero in the Ninja Creami

Watch the full video.

Full transparency, this one's a brand deal with Oikos.

But like always, I only say yes if I'd use it anyway.

And this one is the best froyo I've ever made in the Ninja Creami.

By far.

Vanilla Oikos Triple Zero as the Creami base.

Blended in fresh strawberries, a little extra sweetener, and a pinch of xanthan gum for the texture.

Then mixed in golden Oreos and freeze dried strawberries.

Absolutely delicious.

Rapid Reviews

I tried Loopini's protein pizza this week.

Went in expecting it to be all marketing.

I was wrong.

The macros are unbelievable for a frozen pizza.

560 calories, 50 grams of protein, and 19 grams of fiber for the entire pizza.

And the crust delivers. Crispy on the bottom but still soft and chewy in the middle.

You can find it at Target, Whole Foods, and Wegmans (mostly if you're in the Northeast).

But heads up, it's not cheap. $15 a pop.

The verdict:

8.7/10

In the Lab

I went to the Fancy Food Show last week.

And there's a trend I can't stop thinking about.

Branding is starting to matter more than the product.

Take Fishwife for example. It's tinned fish, but the tin looks like an album cover.

It's a piece of art and it makes you want to buy it.

Then there's Rio Mare.

A massive Italian brand with a plain pink can and basic lettering.

It genuinely tasted better to me, but barely anyone was talking about it.

And here's why it matters more than ever right now…

Better branding means the product looks better on camera.

Which means more creators want to feature it to get more views.

Which means the brand invests even more into those creators.

It's a flywheel.

That's the game now.

But here's the thing.

Good branding gets you picked up.

Good product gets you to come back.

You need both.

I'm curious, what's the last product that got you with branding alone?
