Flavor of the Week
This one's been a long time coming.
Cold Stone's Chocolate Devotion.
One follower is on day 50 of asking for this one…
So today's the day.
Chocolate ice cream. Chocolate chips. Chocolate fudge. Chocolate brownies.
Chocolate Devotion is an accurate name.
I used the chocolate chip hack, my low cal ganache for the fudge, and Prime Bites protein brownies as the brownies.

Rapid Reviews: Find or Forget
This week I'm covering Tuff Pops.
It's different than most of the protein ice creams I review.
Most brands build a protein product and try to make it feel like ice cream.
Tuff Pops did the opposite.
They made real ice cream and found a way to add protein.
And you can taste the difference immediately.
Soft, rich, creamy. Delicious.
Flavor rankings:
- Creme Brulee: 9.2/10
- Double Dutch Cocoa: 8/10
- The third flavor they sent me, which I was told not to name yet: 8.6/10
There is one catch: they're hard to find.
Right now it's only for pickup in Utah.
But shipping expands in August, with new flavors dropping September and October.
The verdict: average of 8.6/10.

In The Lab
I got my hands on raw EPG.
I actually made a video about it, but David made me take it down. Subscribers got the secret link. Another reason to be on the list.
So let's talk about EPG.
If you've seen it online, you know it's being hyped as the fat substitute that changes everything.
Allegedly has the same benefits as normal fats with a fraction of the calories.
I got my hands on some of it, so you know I had to test it myself.
I made three Creami pints. Same base, same everything.
One with fat-free milk. One with whole milk. One with fat-free milk plus EPG.
The whole milk pint was genuinely great. Creamier, smoother, tastes more premium.
But it costs you about 117 extra calories, all from fat.
The EPG pint was supposed to give me that same upgrade without the calories.
It didn't.
Grainy texture. A weird, slightly off flavor I couldn't place.
And, because I eat my own ice cream every day, I did the blind taste test with a friend for an unbiased second opinion.
We both had the same thought.
It was the worst pint of all three by far.
This could have been slight user error, but I don't know how else I could have incorporated it into the pint. At least not without losing the simplicity of my normal recipes.
So here's where I landed:
If you want better texture and don't care about the calories, use whole milk.
Or use skim milk and put the other calories toward mix-ins instead.
That's where the real payoff is anyway.
