Flavor of the week

It's Easter Sunday.

And nothing reminds me of Easter more than a Cadbury Egg.

So I put some mini ones in the Ninja Creami to dupe the UK McDonald's McFlurry…

And it was unreal.

I have no clue why we don't have this in the States yet.

Oh wait.

Now we do.

If you're in the States like me, this is your chance to make it at home.

Rapid Reviews

This week I finally got my hands on a Buffin Muffin.

If you've been on food Tok lately, you already know what this is.

People are obsessed.

And look, the taste is genuinely great. I gave it an 8.7 on flavor.

But there's the thing…

It's almost $9 for one muffin.

And the macros aren't even that impressive. We're talking 400+ calories and 20-25 grams of protein.

I saw someone online pay $40 with shipping.

$40. For one muffin.

I can't get behind it.

The verdict:

7.1.

It's fine.

In the Lab

Six years ago, when I started making healthy recipes, I knew there was going to be one make or break ingredient…

A zero calorie sugar substitute.

I couldn't use real sugar because it destroys the macros.

But I had a lot of trouble finding a substitute that really worked.

I tried everything…Splenda, stevia, sucralose.

And I kept running into the same issue.

They all had weird aftertastes.

Then I found Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener.

It's the only substitute I've tried that tastes exactly like real sugar.

And if you've been following me for a while, you know this has been my go-to ever since I found it six years ago.

That's why this announcement feels full-circle:

I've officially partnered with Lakanto.

I already use their ingredients in my recipes, but this feels so good to say…

First collaboration drops soon. Stay tuned.
