You can learn a lot about someone by how they eat ice cream.
Some people take tiny bites like they're rationing joy.
Some eat half the pint and tell themselves that's restraint.
Some finish the whole thing before the show even starts.
And some act like they don't even like dessert… until someone hands them a spoon.
Most people don't realize how much their relationship with food shows up in moments like these.
I used to be the guy who skipped it completely.
Not because I didn't like it, but because I thought being fit meant cutting out all unhealthy food. Plus, my stomach and dairy have never been on great terms.
Food used to be a number.
Every bite had hidden figures behind it. Calories, macros, grams of protein…
I weighed everything. The peanut butter. The bread. The olive oil that somehow added 120 calories.
If it was "calorie-dense," I didn't eat it.
And it worked. I got lean.
But food stopped being food.
It was just math…and I f-king hate math.
Which sucked, because I love food. Especially ice cream.
So I bought a Ninja Creami.
At first, it was just a toy. I threw protein shakes and pudding mix into the Creami pint like I was a kid in an ice cream shop. At first, most of them were terrible, but a few were great. They reminded me what I'd been missing.
That's when I realized something important:
I don't have to give up food I like…
I just need to make it differently.
This small shift changed everything.
I didn't feel restricted anymore...I felt the freedom to create.
I became a mad scientist in the kitchen. I spent nights hunched over a scale, testing combinations that sounded insane but worked so well: diet soda in brownies, low-cal bread soaked in egg whites for french toast, air fryer fries I swear are better than McDonald's.
So I started posting recipes online.
It took a long time to gain traction, but once it did, it snowballed.
It started out as a fun TikTok page, but it turned into Fitness Product Finder. We're a community of 700K+ people who love good food and care about feeling good too.
And now, this is what I do.
It's my job, my hobby, and the most fun problem I've ever worked on: figuring out how to make food taste unreal while still fitting into your goals.
Welcome to The Sunday Scoop.
Every week I'll share recipes, stories, experiments, and thoughts on food and fitness. All with the goal of giving you more freedom, not adding more restrictions.
Next week, I'm talking about why I never do New Year's resolutions (and what I do instead).
Thanks for being here.
